Our Head Gardener Andrew Webb is hosting a variety of workshops through out the year, join him for handy tips and advice on maintaining your garden.
The workshops run 9am-12pm and we would recommened joining Andrew afdterwards at the Coach House over lunch to pick his brains a little further. (Additional £20 for 2 course seasonal lunch- please inform the team of any dietary requirments)
Plant propagation To include seed sowing techniques, different varieties of cuttings and other types of vegetive propagation. The day will include practical demonstration and a chance to practice these different types of propagation yourself.
Lawncare To include practical advice on how to acheive a healthy green lawn. Cutting heights, feeding , scarification, aeration, weed control, discuss lawn problems and how to correct them, the day will also include some practical demonstrations.
Vegetable growing. This day will include tips on how to get the best from your vegetable plot, different growing and planting techniques, practical demonstrations on planting out and direct seed sowing, You wil also have a chance to have a go yourself.
Rose pruning To include discussing different types of roses, how to prune them, practical demonstration and a chance to have a go yourself.
Climbing Rose pruning. A chance to learn a very skilled subject, will include identifying different types of climbers, practical demonstation of pruning and training techniques, also a chance to have a go yourself.
